SOUNDSCAN REPORT: DEFTONES, SOULFLY, EXODUS, NICKELBACK
October 12, 2005DEFTONES' "B-Sides & Rarities", a collection of import-only B-sides, intriguing covers, unreleased mixes, and other choice rarities, sold nearly 27,000 copies in its first week of release (according to Nielsen SoundScan) to debut at position No. 42 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart. SOULFLY's latest CD, "Dark Ages", shifted a little more than 8,000 copies during its first week of release to enter the chart at No. 155, while EXODUS' "Shovel Headed Kill Machine", registered a first-week tally of a little over 3,000. Topping next week's The Billboard 200 chart are NICKELBACK, whose "All the Right Reasons" sold nearly 325,000 copies in its first week of release — exceeding most industry watchers' expectations.
